Educationally, I achieved a Masters in  Counseling from
Portland State University in 1996. I have been working in the
mental health field since 1995 in various settings, including
as a school counselor and at a group home for abused
children.  I have an eclectic approach, meeting the client
where they are, talking about where they want to go and
using an approach that supports the individual client.
Sometimes it is spiritual, sometimes psychodynamic and
more traditional.  Sometimes it is person centered and it
usually involves much problem solving.

People tend to find me to be approachable and easy to be
around, and I think it's important that my clients feel that
way too.  After all, it's hard to open up to someone that you
don't feel comfortable with.  It's important to me that you
feel safe and at ease.   That will make it easier to do our work
together and help you meet your goals for therapy so you
can feel better!
